Heritage Isle Run or Ride The Ridge, Rowella Hall/Tamar Ridge Vineyard, Nov Sat 28th 2009 Runners race is at 11am and Cycling at 1pm. A 2k run & walk followed by a 10k adult run plus a 30k mountain bike race through the picturesque vineyard of Tamar Ridge at Rowella on the West Tamar. Kids entertainment followed by wine, food and music in a festival environment. Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy the day. Lots of Spot prizes and prize money for placegetters. |

Nile 10 Mile, Sunday Feb 21st 2010 10mile/16k run, 5k run/walk and a free kids dash for cash 1k race. Refreshments and water provided. Come alone and enjoy the beauty of Clarendon have a coffee and muffin in the coffee house and watch the Penny Farthings come in on the final day. Every kid receives a finishing gift. Enter at 137 George St Launceston, post and entry in, or enter on the day at Clarendon. On the day entries taken from 8.30am. Girls its great trial walk/run for a 5k warm up for the Womens 5K. |

Fathers Day Fun Run, A Clifford Craig and Rotary fundraising event. Starting from Invermay park on fathers day, it is a flat 5km fun run & walk. Aiming to raise funds for the Clifford Craig Medical Trust. Keeping Health Heart Research in the North. Great for the whole family. On early so you can be home in time for fathers day lunch. Certificates for every participant, spot prizes and water provided. Post in entry form or enter at St Lukes on thurs and fri the 3rd & 4th of Sept between 11-2. Late entries taken on the morning of the race but please get there early as cut off time is 5mins before the race. Meander valley8. 4th October. 2009 kids race at 10:15, adults at 11:15 An 8k set in the picturesque Deloraine area and run along the river this is a run or walk to enjoy for everyone and very tantalising to the senses as you run along the river past the apple blossom trees. Incorporating a 2k kids & walkers run/walk in the safety of the Deloraine show grounds as well as an 8k along the river.

The Women’s 5k is a fantastic walk/run for women of Tasmania. The aim of the event is to raise as much awareness for breast cancer as we can, remind people to keep active, healthy and have check ups as a preventative. It also brings a solidarity to the women of Tasmania as never seen before. We aim to raise funds for cancer organisations, in 2010 we are hoping to raise enough funds to donate a Patient Transfer Car to our local Holman Clinic, to get people to and from treatments. Training groups and programmes are being developed through Fernwood, so join a group and have some fun to get yourself ready for the 5k. There will be new awareness t’shirts again this year but if you liked the pink ones you can pop into our office at 137 George St to get another one for training in. All funds raised from the t’shirt sales will go towards this years cause. Also check out the new to Australia KARHU runners and walker shoes at whilst there, they will give you 10% off if you have registered for the event. Karhu has won Runners World best debut shoe in 2009, so we want you to be in the best shoe for your health and comfort. $600 early bird package: Fernwood Membership and KARHU shoes. 3 prizes, so you have more chance to win this year. Get in early to have a chance at these great prizes. |

Most of our events are timed by Southern Race Timing Ipico chip electronic timing. Having timed Steve Moneghetti’s 10k world record on their first race they are glad to offer this service for hire to Tasmanian events and clubs. The East Coast fun run/walk, Sun May 2nd 2010. Bicheno. This is a 10k & 2k event run for the development of a community bringing all of the East Coast Communities together to enjoy this great day out whilst also raising funds for several community groups such as the Little Nippers, Local Child Care Centre and others. So enjoy the beauty of Bicheno, make a weekend of it and come along to the new face of the Devil Dash.
