Heritage Isle Run or Ride The Ridge, Sat 29th November 2008. A 2k kids run & walk followed by a 10k adult run plus a 13k & 40k mountain bike race through the picturesque vineyard of Tamar Ridge at Rowella on the West Tamar. Kids entertainment followed by Twilight wine, food and music in a festival environment. Bring your picnic blanket and watch the sun set over the beautiful Tamar Ridge Vineyard. |

Nile 10 Mile, 22nd Feb 09 10mile/16k run, 5k run/walk and a free kids dash for cash 1k race. Refreshments and water provided. Come alone and enjoy the beauty of Clarendon have a coffee and muffin in the coffee house and watch the Penny Farthings come in on the final day. Every kid receives a finishing gift. |

Fathers Day Fun Run, September 2009, a Clifford Craig and Rotary fundraising event. Starting from Invermey park on fathers day, it is a flat 5km fun run & walk. Aiming to raise funds for the Clifford Craig Medical Trust. Great for the whole family. On early so you can be home in time for fathers day lunch. Certificates for every participant and cash prizes for placings.

Meander valley8. 4th October. 2009 Set in the picturesque Deloraine and run along the river this is a run or walk to enjoy for everyone. Incorporating a 2k kids & walkers run/walk in the safety of the Deloraine show grounds as well as an 8k along the river. Great for the whole family with kids entertainment, food and refreshments. Come and see the beautiful Meander valley region. |

41 degrees Womens 5k |

Its finally here, the first Tasmanian Womens only 5k. So get your walking or jogging shoes on in preparation for this great event. Events South have finally managed to get the CBD streets of Launceston closed down for female participants. Show your support for women, whilst raising much needed funds and awareness for Breast Cancer. The event is on the 22nd March 2009 and starts at 10am from City park, then heads out through the streets of CBD Launceston. Rebecca Gibney from Australia’s rating number 1 show “Packed to the Rafters” will be launching and running the event so come along and run or walk with Rebecca. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, bib and goody bag . There is an early bird entry prize of $500.00 and spot prizes for on the day participants. Prize money for place getters in each category and refreshments at the end of the event |
